One of my happiest memories is of watching a Dormouse, with my (then teenage) daughter, high on the southern slopes of Dartmoor one sunny September day. It was lazily working its way along a row of brambles, entwined through a hawthorn hedge, filling up in preparation for the coming winter hibernation.
My bronze Climbing Dormouse is a little homage to that day.
