Rodger McPhail is widely known as one of the most outstanding wildlife and sporting artists in Britain today, someone whose work is sought after internationally. Shooting Times started illustrating McPhail's work when he was only 16 years old and by the time he was 19 he already had a painting published on the front cover - the first of many over the years. Since then his work have been featured in numerous magazine articles over the years, including, Country Life, The Field, and Country Illustrated.
