Drawing and painting are the foundation of Andy Lovell's work as a printmaker and illustrator imprinting a memory of place and shape that inevitably informs his final images. He is drawn to the immediacy of the screenprint and monotype processes to develop his ideas as both processes allow and encourage a bold interpretation of the initial sketches and paintings usually done on location.
Andy regularly exhibits his printmaking in galleries across the UK and his work is widely collected. As an illustrator he has worked for clients including The Balvenie Whisky, Natwest Bank, American Express, The Times, Conde Naste, Random House and Faber & Faber.
