Colin Moore was born on the Clyde Coast of Scotland in 1949. He studied architecture in Glasgow, and following an international career in architecture and design,  worked  as a painter and printmaker since 2004. He lived in Spain, Venezuela and London and then settled in Dorset.  Known for his distinctive abstract style, his work often explored themes of identity, emotion, and perception, using a rich palette and dynamic compositions to convey complex ideas, he created pieces that are both visually striking and thought-provoking.

Colin exhibited his work widely in galleries and art spaces, earning recognition for his unique artistic voice and contribution to contemporary art.  His book, Propaganda Prints, art in the service of social and political change, was published by Bloomsbury in August of 2010.

In 2024 Colin published Siempre Tengo Hambre  celebrating The Art of Jazmin Velasco-Moore, his late wife.  In November the gallery hosted the book launch event, a joyful ocassion which sadly proved to be Colin's last public appearance, he passed away later in the month.  Copies of the book priced at £45, are available through the gallery,
