Chandler’s work focuses on the most dramatic point of an action, the tipping point be it physical, mental or global. The techniques employed are unusual, maquettes are made from wooden panels and sand-able resin, forming the crisp edged, smooth faced, multi faceted sculptures defining his motif. Metal castings and fabrications follow.
Chandler’s unique style has led to recognition in the art world. At twenty nine, he has created multiple monumental sculptures, four of which are in the public domain. These can be seen at New Street station, Birmingham, Rugby service station, Telford Centre bus station, Maxell gardens Telford. Another 3m piece for the new flagship Midlands Metropolitan Hospital is underway. This piece is due for installation mid 2024.
